Imphal: Several prominent individuals visited Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, on Wednesday.
MLA M. Rameshwar Singh of Kakching Assembly Constituency met with Governor Acharya in the evening.
Anurag Bajpai, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force for Manipur, also visited the Governor. He briefed Governor Acharya on the current status of the state’s forest areas and discussed various ongoing conservation initiatives. The Governor commended Bajpai’s efforts and urged him to continue advancing the conservation of forests and the natural environment.
Officials from the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) of Manipur met with the Governor to update him on the humanitarian assistance they have provided to the state’s residents. The Governor requested a detailed report on their activities and any challenges they are facing.
Dr. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS Imphal, visited the Governor to extend an invitation for the 53rd foundation day celebration of the Institute, scheduled for September 2024.
Additionally, representatives of the All Manipur Telli Association, led by General Secretary Ashok Prasad Sahu, also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan.
