Aizawl: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department Minister Dr K Beichhua inaugurated the Epidemiological Centre, AH & Veterinary Complex at Khatla Thursday.
The minister was accompanied by Pu C.Lalmuanpuia who is the Vice Chairman of Veterinary, Fishery & Sericulture Development Board.
Minister K Beichhua said that to identify new diseases as lookout preventive measures and to take curative procedures with more sophisticated laboratory, the state needs Epidemiological Centre. He also said that improvement of the management of trans-boundary animal disease is the need of the hour in the state.
The Minister remarked that the centre will provide space for training and skill development in the realm of biosafety practices.
