Kozhikode: Mizoram beat Andhra Pradesh by 3-0 in the preliminary stage match in Group-2 of Santosh trophy football championship, played at EMS Corporation stadium on Tuesday.
Malsawmfela scored the first goal for Mizoram in the 26th minute, while Lalvenhima J scored braced goals in the 82 and 90 minute of the second half.
Defending champions Kerala, Mizoram and Jammu Kashmir topped in the group-2 with three points each. On the last day, Kerala beat Rajasthan by 7-0 and Jammu and Kashmir beat Bihar by 2-0.
Kerala will take on Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir will meet Mizoram on December 29 in their second match from this group on December 29.
