Imphal: Water Resource and Relief & Disaster Management Minister, Awangbow Newmai Tuesday attended the 1st Manipur district open breaking championship held at Kago football artificial turf, Ghari, Imphal.
While addressing the gatherings as chief guest, Minister Awangbow expressed happiness on the development of artificial turf. He also said that such sports are being organised not only for the football lovers but also for recreation and entertainment purposes also.
He further encourage the youngsters who are interested in sports. He also maintained that sports are very essential for physical and mental well-being of an individual.
Director of tourism, W.Ibohal, also attended the ceremony.
