Meghalaya records 305 new COVID-19 cases & three deaths

Data released by the National Health Mission, Government of Meghalaya, under the Integrated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP) revealed that two of the nine COVID-19 inflicted patients who died had not been vaccinated against the virus.

Shillong: Meghalaya on Monday reported 305 COVID-19 cases that added up to 2,930 active cases and three more deaths, which increased the fatality figure to 1,281, even as 434 recoveries from the viral disease surged the number of recovered cases to 69,859.
The State has registered 74,070 confirmed COVID-19 cases so far.

Data released by the National Health Mission, Government of Meghalaya, under the Integrated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP) revealed that two of the nine COVID-19 inflicted patients who died had not been vaccinated against the virus.

As on Monday, 9,41,086 persons had been tested for COVID-19 across the State with 8,67,016 of them having been tested negative for the virus.

As per official information, 32,033 health care workers have received the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 and 25,079 have received the second dose, 96,929 frontline workers have got the first jab and 61,270 have taken the second shot, 8,70,0028 persons from among the general public have been inoculated with the first dose and 1,96,254 citizens have been fully vaccinated with the second dose across the state till date.

Meanwhile, public parks in Shillong have been re-opened from today, strictly for vaccinated adults from among the local populace, as tourism is yet to be re-started in the State.
