Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang, on Saturday greeted people on the occasion of the Buddhist festival of Lhabab Duechen, celebrated at Sera monastery, with special prayers ‘Jentse’ for flash flood victims.”I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim on the auspicious occasion of Lhabab Duechen”, said the Chief Minister.
“May the ideals and teachings of Sakyamuni continue to inspire us and light up our lives and deeds and may this propitious occasion continue to propagate the ideals of Lord Buddha and promote peace, happiness, and goodwill all over,” said CM Tamang.
“On this sacred day, I join the people of Sikkim and the Buddhist community all over the globe in offering prayers to Lord Buddha”, said Tamang.
