Manipur’s positivity rate improves to 7.1%

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus was from Thoubal. With this, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1806.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday Manipur’s positivity rate improved significantly to 7.1 % as 263 persons tested positive (253 general population 10 CAPF) out of a total sample of 3,682. During the same period, the state registered just one Covid-19 related death while 208 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus was from Thoubal. With this, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1806.

 The 253 persons (123 males, 130 females) from the general population who tested positive include 94 from Imphal West, 59 from Imphal East, 24 from Ukhrul, 17 from Kangpokpi, 15 from Bishnupur, 14 each from Churachandpur and Tamenglong, 5 each from Chandel, Noney and Senapati, 4 each from Kakching and Thoubal, 2 from Tengnoupaland 1 from Kamjong.

Of the 208 persons who were discharged, 102 were from home isolation, 62 from CCCs, 25 from CHICs, 4 from RIMS and 15 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 95.68 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,16,397 (General Population – 1, 12,230, Central Security Personnel 4,167). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 11,373 (General Population – 1, 07,265, Central Security Personnel – 4,108). The number of active cases is 3,216(General Population – 3,164, Personnel – 59).

The total number of doses administered on September 8, 2021, is 5,663 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,81,614 (1st dose 11,98,061, 2nd dose 3,83,553)

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 9 is 553 out of which 450 are general beds while 103 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 9 is 3467 out of which 719 are occupied and 2748 are vacant.
