Manipur’s positivity rate down to 2.1% Thursday

Imphal: Manipur reported 12 Covid positive cases in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Thursday. During the same period, 56 persons recovered while there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 12 persons who tested positive, six each are from Imphal West, three from Churachandpur and one each from Imphal East, Kakching and Kangpokpi. Altogether, 574 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.1 %.

Meanwhile, 56 persons recovered, 39 discharged, 16 from home isolation and one from SHRI.. The recovery rate of the state as of Saturday stands at 98.38 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 575 of which 1, 37,320 have recovered leaving 112 active cases in the state.

As on August 17, 2022, 112 D-type oxygen cylinders and 19 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 18, 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 10 are occupied and 28 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which six are occupied and 56 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on August 17, is 2,227, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,50,161 (1st dose 16,23,977, 2nd dose 12,96,009) and precautionary dose is 2,30,175.
