Manipur’s Covid active cases go up to 624 Wednesday

Of the 50 persons who recovered, 44 are from home isolation and six from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday dips down to 98.01 %.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday, 98 persons from the general population tested positive. During the 50 persons recovered while there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 98 persons who tested positive, 41 are from Imphal West, 21 from Imphal East, 15 from Churachandpur, four from Thoubal, three each Bishnupur, Pherzawl, Tamenglong and Ukhrul, two from Kangpokpi and one each from Chandel, Jiribam  and Kakching. Altogether, 1,022 persons were tested, amounting to a positivity rate of 9.6 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 38, 221 out of which 1, 35, 475 have recovered leaving 624 active cases in the state.

As on July 19, 2022, 86 D-type oxygen cylinders and 26 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on July 20, 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 17 are occupied and 21 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 47 beds out of which 36 are occupied and 11 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on July 19, is 8,283, the cumulative number of doses administered is 30,30,754(1st dose 16,05,030, 2nd dose 12,75,506) and precautionary dose is 1,50,218.
