Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday, Manipur’s active cases dipped further to 341 with 38 persons recovering and getting discharged as against 29 new positive cases among the general population. During the same period, three persons succumbed to Covid-19, as per an official release from the Health Department
Two of the three persons who expired are from Imphal East while one is from Imphal West. All three of them had co-morbidities, one of them had taken the 1st dose of the Covid vaccine and two of them npt been vaccinated. With this, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,985.
Of the 29 persons who tested positive from the general population, 11 are from Imphal West, nine from Imphal East and four from Bishnupur, three from Senapati and one each from Chandel and Ukhrul.
Altogether, 1,097 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 2.6 %.
Meanwhile, 38 persons recovered and were discharged, 13 of them from home isolation, 21 from CCCs, three from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.14 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,389 out of which 1,23,063 have recovered leaving 341 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 5, 2021, is 3,237, the cumulative number of doses administered is 21,95,684 (1st dose 12,91,308, 2nd dose 9,04,375).
