Manipur: Visitors to CM Secretariat, offices restricted

Imphal: Manipur govt has decided to limit the entry of visitors to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, State Secretariat, and other government offices in view of the rapidly rising COVID-19 positive cases in the state.

Ningthoujam Geoffrey, Secretary to Chief Minister, said in an office memorandum that visitors seeking an audience with the Chief Minister will necessarily obtain prior permission from Secretary to Chief Minister, Manipur. Entry into the office premises may be denied if prior permission had not been obtained.

Wearing of masks, vaccination report, negative Covid test report taken within last 72 hours prior to date/time of appointment will be required to seek appointment. Only three or less people will be entertained and visitors were advised to refrain from bringing gifts.

Follow up of action will be done telephonically and all representations will be received at the office only. Entry to Secretariat will also be restricted and visitors will be allowed to enter only after the approval by an official at the main gate.
