Manipur sees seven new positive cases, four recoveries Wednesday

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on March 16, is 692 and the cumulative vaccination number is 77819, the release added.

Imphal: Seven persons from the general population and 1 personnel of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) tested Covid-19 positive, while four persons recovered from home isolation in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday in Manipur. During this period there were no reports of any deaths, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The recovery rate now stands at 98.63%.

The 7 persons (2 males, 5 females) from the general population who tested positive include 4 from Noney, 2 from Senapati and 1 from Bishnupur. All necessary medical precautions such as containment and contact tracing are in place.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,323(General Population — 25,888 and Central Security Personnel — 3,435). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,922 (General Population — 25,493 and CAPF— 3,429). The number of active cases is 28 (general population 26 and CAPF 2).

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on March 16, is 692 and the cumulative vaccination number is 77819, the release added.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 30886 which include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.

There are no severe reactions/allergies, adverse events following immunization to date. There were 47 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them have now fully recovered.
