Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday, Manipur reported a single Covid related death, 32 new positive cases (30 general population, two CAPF) and 40 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department
The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal West, he had comorbidities and had taken the 1st dose of Covid vaccine. With this, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,982.
Of the 30 persons who tested positive from the general population, 14 are from Imphal West, 11 from Imphal East and four from Bishnupur.
Altogether, 1,566 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 2.0 %.
Meanwhile, 40 persons recovered and were discharged, four of them from home isolation, 25 from CCCs and 10 from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.14 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,360 out of which 1,23,025 have recovered leaving 3353 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 4, 2021, is 7,347, the cumulative number of doses administered is 21,92,315 (1st dose 12,90,214, 2nd dose 9,02,101).
