Imphal: A Manipur Rifles Havildar was found dead at a polling station in the northeastern state’s Churachandpur district on Monday, police said.
The Havildar Ibochouba died at the Senvon polling station, where he was deployed for duty in Monday’s assembly polls. T
The cause of death was yet to be ascertained. A case has been registered. The body has been airlifted to Imphal.
Thirty-eight of the 60 constituencies in Manipur have gone to the hustings on Monday in round one of the two-phase Assembly polls.
The remaining 22 seats will have elections on March 5.Â
