Imphal: Manipur registered two Covid related deaths, 56 new positive cases from the general population and 50 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday, as per an official release from the health department.
The two persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from chandel and Thoubal. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,923. Of the two who expired, one of them had co-morbidities and both of them had not been vaccinated for Covid.
Of the 56 persons who tested positive from the general population, 34 of them are from Imphal West, 15 from Imphal East, four from Churachandpur and one each from Tamenglong, Chandel and Kamjong.
Altogether, 1,245 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 4.5 %.
Meanwhile, 50 persons recovered and were discharged, 1nine of them from home isolation, 30 from CCCs, nine from JNIMS and two from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.87 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 23,787 out of which 1,21,152 have recovered leaving 712 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on October 31, 2021, is 4,597, the cumulative number of doses administered is 19,68,713 (1st dose 12,49,726, 2nd dose 7,19,301).
