Imphal: Minister for Water Resource and Relief & Disaster Management, Government of Manipur, Awangbow Newmai Sunday attended the Tamenglong and Noney Day at the ongoing Manipur International Textile Expo (MANITEX) at Urban Haat, Nilakuthi.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function, the Minister said that Manipur is a very beautiful state, in terms of culture and people also. “We can proudly say that we produce the best in handicrafts & handloom products among the Indian states,” said the Minister. The Minister also said that many talented youths of the State are found anywhere in the World.
In his speech, the Minister said that under the initiative of Chief Minister, N.Biren Singh our state has seen lots of changes. “India is going forward and much more our state compared to 6 years before our state is much ahead before any state” added the Minister.
Awangbow also congratulated the Directorate of Handlooms & Textiles and all the participants.
HAC Chairman MLA Dipu Gangmei; Manipur Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd., Chairman, Kh.Ibomcha; DC Noney, Joseph Pauline; also attended the event as president and guests of Honour respectively.
