Imphal: On Friday (March 3), a combined team of Churachandpur District Police, 1RB, 2 IRB and the Forest department destroyed 25 acres of illegal Poppy plantation at Thinghangjang hill range in the district of Churachandpur, said a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police.
In continuation of the mass poppy destruction drive the combined team of District Police Kangpokpi, MPTC, NAB, 6 IRB, 5 IRB and Forest department destroyed 13 acres of illegal poppy plantation at Chonjang and Songbem Village under the jurisdiction of Saikul Police Station on Saturday, the press note added.
