Manipur Police Training College holds debate on human rights

Constable Sonia Thangjam of 9 IRB (Mahila) secured the the 1st position while head constable Oinam Ajitkumar of MPTO came 2nd and I Angomchanu of Imphal East District Police came 3rd in the debate.

Imphal: Manipur Police Training College (MPTC), Pangei under the aegis of the National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi organized  a state level debate on Human Rights for State police personnel Friday at 1st MR Banquet Hall.

The topic of the debate was, “Civil organisations play victim card in times of human rights vigilantism”. Police personnel from various districts/units/MRs/IRBs participated in the debate.

Constable Sonia Thangjam of 9 IRB (Mahila) secured the the 1st position while head constable Oinam Ajitkumar of MPTO came 2nd and I Angomchanu of Imphal East District Police came 3rd in the debate.

Altogether, 26 police personnel participated in the debate, said a press note issued by the Assistant Director, MPTC, Dr Ak Jhalajit.
