Imphal: During the last 24 hours, search operations and area domination were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts.
During the search operation, one AK – 47 Rifle with one magazine, one AK-47 ghatak with one magazine, one INSAS (excalibur) with one magazine from Churachandpur District were recovered. Preliminary verification indicated that the recovered arms are part of arms looted from the police station.
On March 3, 2024, security forces conducted a poppy plantation destruction drive at Makui Hill Range under Kangpokpi Police Station, Kangpokpi District and destroyed about 34 acres of poppy plantations, according to a press note from the Police Control Rome, Manipur Police.
