Manipur Minister attends World Environment Day Commemoration

The National Program on Climate Change & Human Health (NPCCHH), National Health Mission, Manipur, and the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Manipur organised the event.

Imphal: Health & Family Welfare and IPR Minister, Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh, participated in a tree plantation event to celebrate World Environment Day 2024 at the Directorate of Health Services premises in Lamphelpat, Imphal West on Saturday.

The National Program on Climate Change & Human Health (NPCCHH), National Health Mission, Manipur, and the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Manipur organised the event.

Minister Dr. Ranjan stated that the event aimed to enhance the beauty and environmental quality of the office campus, setting an example of responsible duty for officials. He mentioned that although the event was initially planned to coincide with World Environment Day 2024, it was postponed due to recent flood calamities.

The event was also attended by several notable figures, including Special Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Hungyo Worshang, Director of Health Services Dr. O Sanahanbi Devi, Director of Churachandpur Medical College Dr. Iboyaima, and State Mission Director of the National Health Mission Dr. M Dinesh Singh.
