Manipur logs two deaths, 70 new cases Tuesday

Of the two who expired Monday, one of them was from Bishnupur while the other was from Kangpokpi. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,915. Both the persons who expired today were not vaccinated at all.

Imphal: Manipur reported two Covid related deaths, 70 positive cases and 81 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the health department.

Of the two who expired Monday, one of them was from Bishnupur while the other was from Kangpokpi. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,915. Both the persons who expired today were not vaccinated at all.

Of the 70 persons who tested positive from the general population, 34 of them are from Imphal West, 20 from Imphal East, five from Ukhrul, four from Chandel, two each from Bishnupur and Churachandpur and one each from kakching, Tamenglong and Thoubal.

Altogether, 1,129 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 3.3 %.

Meanwhile, 81 persons recovered and were discharged, 11 of them are from home isolation, 49 from CCCs and 17 from JNIMS and four from RIMS.  The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.74 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 23,403 out of which 1,20,615 have recovered leaving 873 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on October 25, 2021, is 15,381 the cumulative number of doses administered is 19,05,378 (1st dose 12,43,234, 2nd dose 6,62,234).
