Imphal: Manipur Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, visited the IWT Complex at Sendra, Loktak Lake, on Thursday. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Leishangthem Susindro Meitei, Minister for Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution (CAF&PD), along with Moirangthem Asnikumar, Chairman of the Loktak Development Authority (LDA).
During his visit, the Governor expressed his admiration for the breathtaking beauty of Loktak Lake and commended the Loktak Development Authority for its dedicated efforts in preserving and enhancing this unique ecological treasure.
The Governor then proceeded to the Indian National Army (INA) War Museum in Moirang, where he was received by Moirang AC MLA and other officials.
At the museum, he paid tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and toured the facility, which showcases a collection of relics and memorabilia from the INA. His visit also included a stop at the historic INA Headquarters in Moirang.
Governor Acharya emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and urged citizens to draw inspiration from the legacy of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to build a brighter future for India.
