Imphal: Manipur Governor La Ganeswan convened a meeting of religious leaders of Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, ISKCON and Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board Friday here pertaining to COVID-19 vaccination.
The Governor expressed his happiness to know that leaders of different religious groups as well as officials of the Health Department attended the meeting.
During the interaction with all the leaders, all the leaders expressed their valuable willingness to extend cooperation at the best level. Ganesan informed them about the dreaded disease and how to prevent it and save our life from the jaws of death of this dreaded disease. The best way is vaccination.
Finally, the Governor made an appeal to all of them to extend their invaluable cooperation to get the mission succeeded.
La Ganeswan reiterated the contributions made by Front line workers, Doctors, Civil Society Organizations and also reminded the relentless efforts made by the Government to overcome this pandemic.
The dedication for the people of the country will always be remembered by all irrespective of caste, religion and creed, the Governor said. All the leaders present in the meeting supported the noble idea of the Governor.
