Imphal: Manipur Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya convened a meeting with the Vice Chancellors of state and central universities at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.
Attending the meeting were N. Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor of Manipur University; H. Gyan Prakash, Vice Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University and Manipur Technical University; and Paonam Gunindro Singh, Vice Chancellor of Manipur University of Culture.
The discussions focused on implementing the New Education Policy (NEP) and other initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational landscape of Manipur.
The Governor directed the Vice Chancellors to submit a detailed report on the progress of NEP implementation. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for September 16, 2024, at Raj Bhavan to continue the discussions.
