Imphal: Governor of Manipur La. Ganesan, extended his heartiest greetings on the 74th birth anniversary of Selvi Jayalalithaa which falls on February 24, 2022.
Selvi Jayalalithaa, popularly known as Amma or Puratchi Thalaivi was an Indian politician and philanthropist who served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for more than fourteen years between 1991 and 2016. She was the only woman to serve as the Chief Minister of any State for such a long tenure, Governor Ganesan said in his message.
Lauding Selvi Jayalalithaa as a Nationalist, an exemplary and extraordinary leader of the common masses, Governor Ganesan said she brought about positive change in the society and worked for the welfare of the people. “She is incomparable and strongly determined leader, and has been an embodiment of woman empowerment who have inspired millions of women across the globe, Governor Ganesan added.
