Imphal: Governor of Manipur, La Ganesan conveyed his warm salutations to the people of Manipur, “especially to our Christian brethren, on the sacred occasion of Good Friday, 2022”.
In his message on the occasion, Governor Ganesan said that Lord Jesus was “sent with the objective to bring a new world order based on truth, humility, sacrifice, equality, compassion, and peace. Lord Jesus is a giant among humans and His preaching of peaceful co-existence and love for thy neighbours has withstood the test of time. Good Friday exemplifies His supreme sacrifice for all the sins of mankind and His resurrection represents the victory of good over evil”.
He called on all let all to rededicate to the noble ideals of peace, harmony, and brotherhood espoused by Him for a better world devoid of all evils. Let this sacred day be observed in its true spirit.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh in his message said that Good Friday “symbolizes the sacrifice made by Lord Jesus and his resurrection on Easter Sunday are the manifestations of the triumph of Good over Evil. Jesus showed us his love, compassion, and courage to forgive the wrong-doers.”
On this occasion, the Chief Minister called on all to eradicate violence and hatred from society and “rededicate ourselves in the service e of the weakand the downtrodden”. Water Resources Minister, Awangbo Newmai, in his message, said that Good Friday is a day for commemorating the great sacrifice of Jesus, “who gave his life to save us from sins”.
Commerce and Industry Minister, Nemcha Kipgen in her message on the occasion called on all to remember Lord Jesus’s message of “love, forgiveness, truth, and renunciation of violence, passion and vengeance”.
