Imphal: The upward trend of positive cases in Manipur continues as 89 persons from the general population got infected with the virus in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday.
During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related deaths while 24 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 89 persons who tested positive, 39 are from Imphal West, 28 from Imphal East, seven from Kakching, five from Thoubal, two each from Jiribam and Ukhrul and one each from Bishnupur, Chandel, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, Senapati and Tengnoupal. Altogether, 601 persons were tested, amounting to a positivity rate of 14.8 %.
All the 24 persons who recovered are from home isolation. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday dips down to 98.18 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 37, 779 out of which 1, 35, 274 have recovered leaving 385 active cases in the state.
As on July 14, 2022, 99 D-type oxygen cylinders and 19 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.
The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on July 15, 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 18 beds and all 18 are occupied. RIMS has a total of 47 beds out of which 15 are occupied and 32 are vacant.
The total number of doses administered on July 13, is 2,671, the cumulative number of doses administered is 29,92,986 (1st dose 16,00,547, 2nd dose 12,69,466) and precautionary dose is 1,22,973.
