Imphal: Chief Minister N. Biren Singh Friday released a revised and updated edition of the book ‘Exam Warrior’ written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and said that the book will be beneficial for students, parents, and teachers.
Addressing the media in this regard at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the Chief Minister said in the book, the Prime Minister has talked about students being “exam warriors” instead of “exam worriers.”
The book will teach students how to face exams, N. Biren Singh said, adding that it is an effort to take exams in a fun way to lessen stress.
The Prime Minister has also expressed the need for students to treat exams as festivals and to create a stress-free environment for them, according to the Chief Minister.
In the book, the Prime Minister talks about students focusing more on their knowledge and less on stress. “The Prime Minister has also talked about students comparing themselves with others, time management, outdoor activities, etc.,” he added.
The Chief Minister said the Prime Minister has also highlighted the role and responsibilities of parents, teachers, and guardians in not stressing out the children with expectations, undue pressure.
The press conference was also attended by Water Resources Minister Awangbou Newmai, Education Minister Th Basantakumar Singh, Education Commissioner H Gyanprakash, and Education (S) Director L. Nandakumar Singh.
