Manipur CM extends greetings to workers on May Day

Imphal: The Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh greeted the workers of Manipur on the occasion of Labour Day, popularly known as May Day. 

In His message on the occasion, Biren Singh said that the Labour Day is observed to pay respect to all workers and labourers.

 “It was on this day that the working class came together and stood up for their rights. They raised their voices for paid leaves, good wages, and proper breaks. The day also symbolises the victory of the working class for their struggle to get an 8-hour working day”, he added.

On this Labour Day, he urged the public to recognize and appreciate all ‘workers’ for their hard work and contributions to the development of our society. He called on all to “honour and celebrate their hard work and dedication in every field”.
