New Delhi: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Monday and discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to the state.
During his maiden meeting with the PM after he took over as the CM of Manipur for the second term, Singh apprised about the different initiatives taken by his government for the development of the Northeastern state.
He also briefed about the state government’s fight against drugs and corruption.
Apprising about his meeting with the PM, the CM in a tweet wrote, “I had the privilege to discuss about various initiatives that the state government has taken up to sustain peace and development in Manipur. Also, apprised him about the steps that we have taken up to fight drugs and corruption in the state.”Â
During the meeting with the PM Narendra Modi, I, along with my cabinet colleagues shared our vision to give an impetus to the growth trajectory of Manipur, Biren twitted.
During Biren’s meeting with the Prime Minister, his ministerial colleagues including Th Biswajit, K Govindas and Y Khemchand also participated.
Later, the Chief Minister also called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the latter residence.
Stating that the people of Manipur are fortunate to have a leader like Amit Shah, Biren said his genuine concern for the people of Manipur is reflected in every step that he takes with regards to Manipur. With agency inputs
