Imphal: Chief Minister N. Biren Singh today assured the construction of a Mini Sports Complex at the Kumbi High School Ground Terakhong at the cost of Rs. 2.5 crore.
The Chief Minister, addressing an ‘Interaction with the Public’ event at the Kumbi high school ground on Saturday, said that the government is always there for the Internally Displaced Persons and that Go to Village events will be conducted at the earliest to look into all their requirements and needs.
N. Biren Singh also assured certain demands of the people including development of Kumbi Market Shed, repairing of Kumbi to Wangoo Road at the earliest, upgradation of Terakhong Primary Health Centre to Community Health Centre, setting up of a Fire Services sub-station at Kumbi.
Regarding provision of livelihood assistance to IDP families, the Chief Minister said there is a scheme called the ‘One Family One Livelihood’ which provides up to Rs.10 lakh loans with a 30 percent grant.
The interaction was also attended by Ministers Govindas Konthoujam, Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, L. Susindro Meitei, MLAs Sapam Kunjakeswor Singh, K Ibomcha, S. Premchandra Singh.
The Chief Minister accompanied by the Ministers also inspected the pre-fabricated houses under construction at Phubala.
