Sangli, Maharashtra: A Shiv Sanik died on the spot while three were seriously injured in an accident which occured on Ratnagiri -Nagpur national highway Tuesday morning.
According to police, while Shiv Sena (Shinde group) workers from Kavathe-Mahankal of this district, were on way to attend ‘Dasara rally’ at Azad maidan by a vehicle, which was to be addressed by chief minister Eknath Shinde later Tuesday evening, a speedy truck hit behind the vehicle. In this incident, a Shiv Sanik died on the spot while three were injured who were admitted to a hospital.
Police are yet to identify the deceased and injured Shiv Saniks and are investigating further.
