Sangli, Maharashtra: Former state president of the Janata Dal Party and former MLA Sharad Ramgonda Patil passed away this morning at his residence in Kupwad in the city, sources said on Wednesday.
He was 81. Patil, a senior Samajwadi leader, was elected two times from the Miraj assembly constituencies of this district in 1990 and 1995 on the Janata Dal ticket and later again from the graduate constituency on the state legislature council, defeating Prakash Javadekar.
