LS poll preparations in full swing in Kangpokpi district

Kangpokpi: Thw Commissioning process of the EVMs and VVPATs was held Friday at the FLC hall, Mini-Secretariat, Kangpokpi District for the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024. 

The commissioning process was held after the second round of randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs to be used in the polling booths of the three Assembly Constituencies of Kangpokpi District namely 46-Saikul (ST), 50-Kangpokpi and 51-Saitu (ST) were held through Election Management System (EMS) on Friday. 

The process was done in the presence of members of recognised political party functioning within Kangpokpi District and district election team. It may be mentioned that polling will be held in 166 polling stations and 24 Special Polling Stations for the Internally Displaced Persons falling under the 2- Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency on April 19.

On the other hand, the second round of training for the polling personnel for the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024 continued for the second day in Kangpokpi District.

The first training session for the male Presiding Officer, Polling Officer-1, Polling Officer-2 and Polling Officer-3 began at the Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (SH-ADC) Kangpokpi District. 

Altogether 213 polling officers attended the training which is crucial for ensuring that the officers are well-equipped to carry out their duties effectively during elections, maintaining the integrity and transparency of the voting process.
