Mumbai : Land will be made available on a priority basis for hospitals which will be set up in Palghar, Satara, Pen, Panvel, Jalgaon, Chakan in Maharashtra through the State Labor Insurance Corporation, said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde here on Friday.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shinde along with Union Environment, Forest and Labor Minister Bhupendra Yadav. On this occasion, State Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, Labor Minister Suresh Khade, Chief Secretary Manukumar Srivastava, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vikas Kharge, Additional Chief Secretary Labor Department Dr. Pradeep Vyas, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra Airport Development Company Deepak Kapoor, Principal Secretary of Forest Department Venugopal Reddy, Secretary of Environment Department Praveen Darade, Secretary of Health Department Navin Sona, Labor Commissioner Suresh Jadhav were present on this occasion.
In thie meeting held with the Union Minister, various matters related to the Department of Forest, Labour, Environment, Health, and Skill Development were discussed positively. The Chief Minister also gave instructions to find a way out of it in a time-bound manner. Instructions were given to hold a meeting with the expert committee of the State Government Department and the Central Forest Department to come up with a proposal. Discussions were also held on this occasion regarding increasing the assistance provided during the resettlement of the villages under the tiger project. There was a detailed discussion about providing help from the central government regarding human loss and crop loss due to wild animal attacks.
A proposal has been submitted to start a State Labor Insurance Corporation Hospital in Maharashtra through the Central Labor Department. A 1100-bed hospital will be built in Palghar, Satara, Pen, Panvel, Jalgaon, Chakan and there was a discussion about providing government land for it and removing high-pressure power line at some places. The Chief Minister gave directions to immediately provide land for these hospitals.
The Chief Minister suggested services be provided to both card holders and non-card holders, which will help in reducing the pressure on the district hospital.
Special concessions for slum rehabilitation projects and reconstruction of dilapidated and cessed buildings under CRZ-II were discussed. For the growth and conservation of the Kandal forest, there is a Kandal forest chamber and foundation in Maharashtra and the Union Environment Minister appreciated Maharashtra for its efforts for the growth of Kandal forest. A discussion was also held regarding the issue of payment of Labor Provident Fund of Mathadi workers under Mathadi Mandal. The Chief Minister directed the officials of the concerned department to hold a meeting and submit a proposal in this regard
