Karnataka reports 34,281 fresh cases and 468 deaths

The sources said that while as many as 49,953 covid-19 patients, got discharged from various hospitals after being completely cured from the killer disease there exists as many as 5,58,890 active cases across the state.

Bengaluru: Karnataka has reported as many as 34281 fresh cases of the COVID-19 disease in the last 24-hours.

According to official sources as many as 468 people had succumbed to the pandemic disease in the last 24-hours, taking the total number of fatalities due to the COVID-19 in the state to 23306.

The sources said that while as many as 49,953 covid-19 patients, got discharged from various hospitals after being completely cured from the killer disease there exists as many as 5,58,890 active cases across the state.

Among the deaths reported on Wednesday, the state capital Bengaluru recorded the highest number of 218 deaths, followed by Ballari 23, 19 each in Shivamogga and Tumakuru, 18 in Kalaburagi, 14 each in Koppala, Mysuru and Uttara Kannada districts.

In the last 24-hours as many as 129538 people had undergone the COVID-19 tests and the positivity rate

for the day accounted for 26.46 per cent and the case fatality rate stood at 1.36 per cent, the sources added.
