Kamjong observes Hill Leaders’ Day, and Meeyamgi Numit

Kamjong: The District Hill Leaders’ Day & Meeyam gi Numit for Kamjong district was observed Friday at the Town Hall, Kamjong headquarter. Organised by the District Administration, Kamjong, the program is the fourth observation of the district after the formation of the BJP-formed new government.

In the event that witnessed hundreds of public attendance, a total of 54 grievances/applications have been received related to various government welfare schemes and departmental services. 34 stalls of various departments were opened to cater to the needs of the public.

Deputy Commissioner Rangnamei Rang Peter, was the chief guest of the event, while Superintendent of Police P Manjit; ADM Shri Ningreigam Leisang and SDO Sahampung block, Phillip John were the guests of honour. CSO leaders, village chiefs and local prabhari officers were also present in the observation today.

Later, the dignitaries handed over — CMHA Cards from NHM, Weaver cards from Handloom & Textile, PM Kisan Cards from Agriluture, UJJWALA Gas sets and NFSA cards from CAF &PD—to many beneficiaries. 

A special tree program was also conducted as a part of the program by DFO Kamjong.
