Imphal: Acting on specific intelligence, a joint team comprising the Indian Army, BSF, and Manipur Police successfully operated in the Bungjang village area, located on the fringes of Kangpokpi and Imphal East districts in Manipur.

The operation resulted in the discovery of an arms cache used by miscreants. Recovered items included a sniper rifle, a heavy-caliber launcher, a pistol, a single-barrel gun, ammunition, and various warlike stores.

The recovered arms and ammunition have been handed over to Manipur Police for further investigation and appropriate disposal.

In a press release, the PRO (Defence) for Manipur, Nagaland, and Southern Arunachal Pradesh stated that security forces remain vigilant and committed to restoring peace and stability in the state at the earliest.
