Indian Army organises medical camp on International Brain Tumour Day

The event was attended by residents of Shantipur and adjoining villages. The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout of over 200 people including women and children.

Imphal: On International Brain Tumour Day, Indian Army organized a Medical Camp and Awareness Lecture at Shantipur village in Bishnupur district of Manipur. 

The event was attended by residents of Shantipur and adjoining villages. The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout of over 200 people including women and children.   

The camp featured essential healthcare provisions alongside medical assistance by the doctors and nursing staff. 

A Medicine Distribution Counter was established to ensure distribution of essential medicines. An awareness lecture was delivered by an Army doctor on the Symptoms and treatment of Brain Tumour, emphasizing the importance of understanding mental health. 

The event underscored the Indian Army’s commitment and everlasting efforts towards the health & welfare of villagers, especially for the people living in remote areas, according to the PRO (Defence), Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh
