Kohima: In a heartfelt gesture the Indian Army stepped forward to support the displaced families in Komlakhong and surrounding villages in the Bishnupur district of Manipur and distributed spools of wool and essential items necessary for knitting shawls, sweaters and blankets.

The initiative empowered the displaced families to generate income by engaging in the production of clothing items. The items distributed were specifically requested by the women living in relief camps. 

With 500 beneficiaries, this act of kindness not only addresses the immediate needs of the affected families but also underscores the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to serving and supporting communities during challenging times.
