Shillong: Continuing its legacy of promoting community welfare and health, IIM Shillong organized a successful blood donation camp as part of its Sustainability Week initiatives. Under the theme “One donation saves three lives,” the event aimed to raise awareness about the critical need for blood donations and encourage individuals to contribute towards this noble cause.
This year’s camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with 81 donors from the IIM Shillong fraternity stepping up to donate blood in a single day. The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the participants underscore the deep commitment of the IIM Shillong community toward making a positive impact on society.
Last year’s efforts received recognition and support from the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya, further highlighting the significance of community welfare and health promotion initiatives.
Prof. D. P. Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong, inaugurated the camp and mentioned that the initiative not only saves lives but also demonstrates a shared commitment to fostering community welfare and health promotion.
The blood donation camps were organized by the EcoBiz Club of IIM Shillong with the continued support of HDFC Bank, Pasteur Institute, Regional Blood Bank, as well as the unwavering dedication of the donors, the initiative is expected to continue making a difference in the lives of many.
