Imphal: The Manipur Horse Riding & Polo Association, Manipur Equestrian Association and Manipuri Pony Society under the Sponsorship of Mangal Foundation organised the “Horse Show of The Best Manipuri Pony Stallion, 2022” at the Manipuri Pony Breeding Farm, Lamphelpat Wednesday.
Doctors and interns from Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Services, Manipur judged the stallions based on various criteria as per International Conformation and Soundness of Horses. Dr Padam Kumar Singh, Dr. Romi Maibam, Th. Premananda and Seram Ratan Singh conducted the conformation and soundness of the ponies.
Stallion Poirou, owner Th. Kaoba won the Best Manipur Pony Stallion, 2022. Stallion Lamyanba and Stallion Karu of Imphal Riding Club, Uripok won the 2nd Best and the 3rd Best Manipur Pony Stallion, 2022 respectively.
Cash Prize of Rs. 8000, Rs. 6000 and Rs. 4000 will be awarded to the Best, 2nd Best and 3rd Best Pony of the Horse Show of the Best Manipuri Pony Stallion, 2022 respectively. The prizes will be distributed on March 17, 2022 at the closing function of the 1st State Women’s Polo Tournament, 2022 at Manipuri Pony Breeding Farm, Lamphelpat.
President, Manipuri Pony Society, Dr. Ksh. Chourjit Singh, Hony; Hony. President, MHRPA H. Deleep Singh and . Secretary General, MHRPA Dr. Th. Chaa Mangilal Hony were also present during the event.
