Churachandpur: The District Implementation Unit (DIU), Churachandpur, in collaboration with the State Health Agency, Manipur, organized a one-day awareness campaign on the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme, Chief Ministergi Hakselgi Tengbang (CMHT), and Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) at the Prefab Relief Centre, Torbung, today for Kangvai Sub-Division.

Addressing the gathering, Jenny Paite, Auditor (CMHT/AB-PMJAY), explained the dos and don’ts of the schemes, card usage, eligibility criteria, enrolment procedures, and the documents required for availing benefits. She urged attendees, particularly internally displaced persons (IDPs), to bring necessary documents, such as ID cards and Aadhaar cards, to facilitate the timely preparation of CMHT and AB-PMJAY cards before hospital admission. This, she said, would ensure smooth access to treatment.

Highlighting the benefits of the schemes, she stated that eligible poor and vulnerable families could avail cashless coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year through empaneled hospitals. Beneficiaries facing issues may contact the toll-free numbers 1800-103-2015 (state) or 14555 (national) or visit district hospitals and healthcare centers.

The DIU has taken proactive steps under AB-PMJAY to maximize coverage among marginalized and vulnerable groups. The programme was attended by Dr. Vanlalkungi, CMO/Member Secretary (DIU); Smt. Jenny Paite, Auditor (CMHT/AB-PMJAY); District Coordinator Thuamkhanlian Ngaihte (CMHT/AB-PMJAY); S. Thangmuanlal (PMAM); and inmates of the relief camp.

As part of the ongoing schedule, awareness campaigns will be conducted at St. Joseph School in Singngat Sub-Division on April 6, at the Prefab Relief Centre in Sangaikot on the morning of April 7, and at the SDO Office in Saikot on the afternoon of April 7.
