Mumbai: A half-burnt body of an unidentified woman aged 30 to 35 years was found in the Wadala area of in central Mumbai, police said on Friday.
According to the police the body was cut into three pieces with some parts missing.
A local resident has noticed a suspicious bag in a lane of Wadala following which Wadala police was informed who took the custody of the bag and found woman body in the bag.
Later, police sent the body to KEM Hospital for post-mortem.”
Police estimate that the woman was murdered one to two days ago. Her body was in a bag. On suspicion, when the bag was checked, a burnt body was found.
The police have registered a case of murder against an unknown person and have started an investigation. Along with this the Mumbai Crime Branch team has also started its investigation, police said.
