Gangtok: Chief Minister of Sikkim, P S Tamang today wished public on the occasion of 4th ‘Jan Unmukti Diwas’.

‘On this fateful day, I pay my respects to those dedicated and dynamic personalities who contributed to our cause but are no longer with us to witness the day. I pray for their soul and remember them.’

‘The day holds a special place in my heart, as the support I received reinforced my resolve to fight for systemic change for the welfare of my motherland and my Sikkimese brothers and sisters. I took an oath to dedicate myself to bring about a change and a better tomorrow. ‘

‘I express my gratitude to our Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Ministers, MLAs, MP, Advisors, Chairpersons, party officials, party workers, Krantikari friends for their dedication, effort in spreading our message and serving the people with utmost sincerity. Their actions motivate me to strive for greater heights and most importantly, I thank the people of Sikkim for their love and support and their belief in me’, added CM.
‘As I am in New Delhi on an official visit and due to the ongoing pandemic, we could not celebrate the day grandly but hopefully, next year will be different. I appeal to all to refrain from large gatherings and adhere to the COVID protocols at all times.’

‘Once again, I am grateful to all Krantikari friends, our well-wishers, supporters and the people of Sikkim whose positivity and dedication helped us in establishing our Government. I call for the citizens of our State to carry on with the same zeal and enthusiasm and work towards making Sikkim a model State,’ added CM.
