Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has been awarded the Certificate of Merit for excellent efforts in energy conservation by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the prestigious National Energy Conservation Awards 2021 (NECA 2021).
At an event in New Delhi on December 14, Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy R K Singh presented the award to senior officials of GHIAL, a release here said on Monday.
GHIAL was the only airport in the airport sector that received this distinct recognition.
Speaking on this occasion, GHIAL CEO Pradeep Panicke said GHIAL has been at the forefront of adopting energy efficiency practices and has been recognized for the efficient energy management initiatives.
