Friday saw 31 new Covid-19 positive cases in Manipur

Imphal: The increasing trend of positive cases in Manipur continues with 29 persons from the general population and 2 personnel of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) testing coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 am of Friday. The total active cases in the state now stand at 165, out of which 145 are from the general population and 20 from the CAPF, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

During the same period, with just 7recoveries, the recovery rate in the state also dips further to 98.17%.

Of the 29 persons (12 males, 17 females) from the general the population who tested positive, 12 of them are from Imphal West, 9 from Imphal East, 2 each from Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kangpokpi and 1 each from Kakching and Tengnoupal.

Meanwhile, Health Department has instructed air passengers who travelled to the state on April 15 by Air India flight AI– 713 in rows 3– 9, to inform Covid Common Control Room 1800343818 or respective District Surveillance Officer (DSO).

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,610(General Population — 26,148 and Central Security Personnel — 3,462). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 29,069 (General Population — 25,631 and CAPF— 3,438). The number of active cases is 133 (general population 117 and CAPF 16).

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on April 15, is 1401 and the cumulative vaccination number is 102470, the release added.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 32141 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.

There are no severe reactions/allergies, adverse events following immunization (AEFI) till date. There were 70 mild reactions that were on home care and all of them are now fully recovered.
