Kakching : A “Free Textbooks Distribution Camp” was organised at Serou Manipuri Upper Primary School, Serou Village in Kakching District today organised by the Office of the Zonal Education Officer, Kakching.
The primary objective of the initiative is to support the education of newly resettled children of Internally Displaced Persons and to ensure their continued access to academic resources through the Education Department.
The camp was conducted to provide free textbooks and necessary academic support to help the students from Class 1 to 8 standards so that they can continue their studies without interruption.

It may be mentioned that during last District Level Officers' meeting chaired byDeputy Commissioner Uppuluri Chaitanya (IAS), a resoultion was taken to conductcamps/awareness/training programs by various departments in Serou and Sugnu. (DIO)
