Floods in Pakistan kill 312

Islamabad: The death toll from monsoon rains and floods in Pakistan has reached 312 since June, Geo TV reported on Tuesday.

Citing the national disaster management authority, said the deaths included two people who died on Monday from electric shock when torn power wires fell on a flooded street after heavy rains in Karachi.

The over five weeks of continuous rainfall have damaged 5,600 objects of infrastructure including houses, bridges, and highways. Most damage and casualties were recorded in the provinces of Balochistan, Punjab, and Sindh.
