Aurangabad: District Collector and Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority Sunil Chavan directed that eligible citizens for a second dose should be vaccinated before December 15 otherwise they will be penalized .
In a meeting which was held here last evening, the district collector said, that vaccination is an effective way to prevent Omicron, so eligible citizens should immediately vaccinate and respond to the vaccination campaign.
Those who are eligible for the second dose but have not yet taken, it should take by December 15, otherwise, they will be penalized .
Also, teachers in college / private classes who have been vaccinated with both Covid vaccines should be tested once a month and teachers who have not been vaccinated should be tested for Covid test every week, he directed.
The meeting was attended by Zilla Parishad President Meenatai Shelke, Municipal Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey among several other top brass concern officials .
The Collector further said that Immediate action should be taken to provide financial assistance to the heirs of those who died in Covid-19 as directed by the government.
